    Description

Offered is this rectangular white cloth piece with a sewn-on Red Cross emblem. It has an approx. 1 1/4" double-thick border on the long side where the cross emblem is and a narrow edge around the other three sides. It looks and feels like linen to me but I'm not sure of that; it could be cotton. I'm also not sure what this might have been used for or if it came from an actual Red Cross facility, a hospital or even perhaps a military installation. I don't know how old it is but it was found with other vintage cloth items and certainly appears old enough to be vintage-perhaps 1950s-1960s?
The piece is approx. 24" x 16". It is in good condition, with no holes or tears. It is relatively clean but there is some faint light staining in some areas, likely permanent.
