    Description

    Brown and Cream Colored Vintage BAKELITE CARVED BROOCH Pin. VERY INTRICATE, beautiful Design (the cream part)!! The cream part is a FLORAL MOTIF. The brown part is an EMBELLISHED and elongated oval design. Measures 3 5/” x 1 1/8”. Has great PATINA and when examined with a jeweler’s loupe, shows the scratches and wear typical of vintage Bakelite. Shipped with USPS First Class. The clasp is in GOOD WORKING ORDER. At the top of the cream floral design (just left of center) there looks to be a tiny chip off the top of the carving. You have to look really close to even notice it and I’m still not even sure if it’s an actual chip or not (please see photo and judge for yourself). Tested under hot water and definitely had that DISTINCT CHEMICAL SMELL diagnostic for Bakelite. The odor was very strong and MANIFESTED VERY QUICKLY.
