VINTAGE 1942 RED CROSS BLOOD DONOR WWII PRO PATRIA COPPER LAPEL TAC PIN -9/16"

Description

Vintage blood donor lapel pin! Pin is copper and represents the blood drive for the war effort. The red cross used copper in 1942 for the pins until the war effort needed the metal and later pins were made in plastic. The pin is stamped with "American Red Cross Blood Donor", and also stamped with "Pro Patria" which means for "one's country". The pin measures about 9/16" across and has a swivel catch clasp on the back that works as it should. The pin is in good condition, clean, with patina and spotting of the metal.
