Description
Presented for your consideration are an incredible RUDESHEIMER VINTAGE LOT of 5 footed Porcelain Coffee/Kaffee Cups and 5 Matching Saucers from Germany and West Germany.Condition is MINT! There are no scratches, no chips, and no cracks on these amazing 8 oz large cups and saucers.
3 of the saucers and 4 of the cups were made by Heinrich in Germany, while the remaining 2 saucers and 1 cup were made by Heinrich in West Germany ( circa 1961 to 1989), a division of Villeroy & Boch.
These special cups were specifically created in 1957 to serve the alcoholic coffee drink originating from the German city of Rudesheim dating back to 1860 on the Rhine River. This City is mentioned on the script of each cup along with the brandy from Asbach-Uralt region that is the alcoholic part of this famous European coffee/kaffee drink. There are also small but very detailed pictures of the city of Rudesheim and the Rhine portrayed circling the middle of the cup.

The Cup measures 4-3/8" High x 3-5/8" in Diameter.
The Saucer measures 1" High x 6-1/8" in Diameter.
Both as a collectible and as functional pieces of fine porcelain, these Rudesheimer cups and saucers provide a wonderful way of serving any espresso-like drink!
