RARE ca 1915 SOUVENIR CHICAGO ILLINOIS NEW POST OFFICE BISQUE GOLDEN TEA CUP

Description

This is a really nice vintage souvenir marked "New Post Office , Chicago" that is unmarked on the base. This style of decorated souvenir was very popular through WW I and they are usually marked Austria or Germany. This example does not have any such marking but it was found with others that were marked and circa 1910 -1915.
What is really nice about this example is that it has great color and gold painted highlights. T
his item is offered as found. The colorful transfer design appears complete with great detail. This example measures approx. 3 1/4 inches tall to the top of the lip. It measures approx. 2 5/8 inches across the very bottom. The opening measures 2 1/2 inches across.
This example is in nice condition with nice coloring and a nice overall "gold" coloring to the front. These gold highlights are worn slightly around the rim and on the handle.
