    Description

    In 1973 in my Home Nursing Class in high-school I signed up to be a Red Cross "Candy Striper" at the local hospital.
    When you accepted the position they gave you a pattern and some fabric and told you to make your own pinafore uniform.
    My mother made this. Size is unknown but it has a 28" waist. 31" length from shoulder. The hem is 4" so it could be made longer. Patch is hand stitched to garment.
    I wore this as a tunic over white blouse and pants. Not a dress. The hat/cap was given to me by the Red Cross.
    I volunteered 2-3 a month for 2 years.his was my only uniform. NO stains.
