    Description

Model ship plan print drawing #107 Destroyer USS Gridley Copyright1947 Reding Model Engineers by Edward Wiswesser. 17 3/8 inches X 11 1/2 inches. Wiswesser's drawings look like blueprints and were some of the most accurate scale-model plans that model makers could buy in the 1940's.  His plans were used to create models of U.S. and Japanese warships for Otto Preminger's 1965 film "In Harms Way," a WWII movie starring John Wayne.  The production crew had called the Navy for scale-model drawings, and the Navy referred them to Wiswesser. These prints are from the 1970's.  I am posting several other Wiswessr drawings so please take a look at my other posting and let me know if you would like to bundle more than one item. I will work with you on shipping cost. Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.
