    MINTY 1930s Vintage BAKELITE Carved HORSE Head Pin Brooch BOOK Piece Glass Eye Butterscotch
    Up for auction is a gorgeous, collector's favorite, vintage Bakelite HORSE head brooch. This pin is larger than pins of this kind, measures 3" diagonally from the tip of the nostril to the edge of the neck. The color is warm butterscotch, his eye is a glass bead with black enamel center. It is resin washed, with deeply carved  features and mane.
    Brass bridle is complete and well adjusted, condition is very excellent/minty vintage with no chips or damage to bakelite. Firmly attached locking pin mechanism is good, as seen in the picture.

    This horse head pin is estimated to be late 1930’s – early 1940’s. It is a collector's book  piece featured in many books devoted to bakelite jewelry.
