This is a Minox film format negative holder for use with select Canon and Epson film scanners
(US Patent Pending).  This holder will work with the following scanners:

This was CAD designed and manufactured for use with the Minox sub-miniature film format.  The Minox negative holder is available for other brands of flatbed film scanners at the same price.  Please inquire about customization options.  Please note this holder works only with flatbed film scanners.  It will not work on regular scanners that do not feature the backlight needed to scan negatives.
This is a newly designed model that finally allows for
full frame Minox scanning
.  With our old model, few customers noticed or cared that they were not able to get 100% edge-to-edge scanning.  The new model features two cut out sections as displayed in the photos above.  The two sections that are borderless are 38.5 mm in length.  If full frame scanning isn't critical to your needs, you can scan the entire frame all at once.  For those frames where you want to capture the entire image, you align those images in one of the two borderless areas

Important: Our film adapters for flatbed scanners are not designed to be used with uncut filmstrips.  You may need to cut your film to adapter length for proper use.  Also please note that this item comes with one holder.  Photo above shows disassembled two halves of the adapter.
This negative holder is designed to sit inside the stock 120 film holder (directly on the glass) that shipped with your Canon or Epson scanner.  Utilizing your OEM holder may not be strictly necessary with some scanners, but utilizing your stock holder aids in proper positioning and can help avoid calibration and focus issues.

Features:  Unlike some designs, this holder features a recessed channel to hold your negative strip firmly which can help avoid scratches or trapped dust that other holders may cause.
SPECIAL NOTE FOR INTERNATIONAL BUYERS:  Ebay has recently changed rules for international buyers.  If you are buying multiple items from the same seller you can no longer combine shipping.  Ebay will also require you to pay immediately so I am not able to send you an invoice for combined shipping.  Unless something changes (or unless you know of a way to combine shipping that I haven't found yet), your only option is to buy and pay for each item separately.  This will likely result in overpayment of shipping charges.  I always refund overpayment of combined shipping charges, but unfortunately Ebay charges sellers a 10% commission on the original shipping charge and will not refund the difference.  I will continue to refund overpayment of shipping on multiple items, but in the future I will have to deduct the 10% commission that Ebay sticks me with.  I apologize for the inconvenience.  Hopefully Ebay will change this practice soon!
Important additional notes:
- If you are buying my holders for resale, please be aware that my products are more about "function" over "form."  This is why they are so inexpensive compared to other commercially produced options.  Each holder is custom made and may contain spot sanding and other finishing marks.  I do my best to clean my products up cosmetically, but due to sales volume I simply can't spend a lot of time on it.  My main concern is that it works like it is supposed to.  As a result, if you are reselling please be aware that you may need to do some more finishing work suitable for a retail environment.
- Aftermarket holders for odd film sizes will usually require the ability to manually scan film strips with "thumbnail" modes turned off.  Depending on your model and software, masking of individual frames for scanning may be necessary for the best results.  Please ensure you know how to set your scanner/software for full manual control.  Simply pushing a green button on the front of your scanner (common with Epson models) to scan a film strip will not work with most aftermarket film holders.
- Please pay particular attention to the "handling" days before shipping as noted above.  I do not typically maintain an inventory of my film holders as most are custom made upon order placement.  As such, I ask for 5 business days handling before shipping.  My average is likely around 2 days, but there are occasions where orders are very high and I may need all 5 business days before I am able to ship your holder.  Please keep this in mind.
