Description
Hello! This is an unopened copy of the Bell Federal Savings and Loan Association 1975 Annual Report. It is a staple-bound booklet, measuring 6 x 9 3/16." The plastic mailer measures 6 1/4 x 10 1/4".
Bell Savings and Loan was founded in 1928, moving to the Clark & Monroe building in 1948. In the 1950s, they installed the famous "weather bell" sign used as their logo here; it would change color according to the predicted weather. The bell sign still exists and functions, but Bell went under with the 1980s savings & loan crisis, eventually merging with Bank of America.
The plastic mailer has a small tear on the front right, with a few other tiny holes and nicks. The report has a tan line across the top edge of the reverse side that looks like a light burn mark from the plastic sealer. There is an area on the bottom spine corner on the front where a few speckles of dirt have gotten in.
