Description

This is a set of collapsible portable traveling chopsticks made of a copper tube with a bone insert that can be withdrawn into the tube for a super small size.  They work great as usable chopsticks.  Very unusual and rare.  Made for the geisha or samurai while traveling to assignment.
Dating to the mid Meiji era (c. 1890) they measures 6 1/2" long when extended to 3 1/2" when collapsed (17 - 9 cm). Having been in storage for over 100 years, they remain in
